Trichomanes christii is distributed in South India, Sumatra and Malesia to the Philippines. From South India, this was reported for the first from the dense evergreen forests of Vayuthamalai, Courtallum of Tamil Nadu, as a new record for India (Madhusoodanan & Hameed, 1997). A fairly abundant population of this plant was later found on the branches and branch lets of riparian vegetation throughout South Indian evergreen and semi-evergreen forests. |
