This species is common in the low land areas along creeks, on ground, cement walls, on rocks, etc. Thallus thin, light green, tufted, dichotomously divides, rhizoids smooth, densely overlapping, pores on the dorsal surface, absent in sterile, male and female plants, midrib absent, rhizoids both thin and thick walled.
